Abstract
Shodhanartha Abhyantara Snehana (Purificatory Internal oleation) is a preparatory procedure of purification therapies such as emesis and purgation etc. Total quantity of oil/ ghee needed for oleation is ranging from 600 ml. to 1200 ml. Due to this, some modern physicians and patients undergoing oleation therapy think that it may leads to rise in the lipid levels. So in order to remove this misconception and fear of modern fat conscious world we have tried in our study “Further Clinical Study on Standardization of Shodhanarth Snehapana” to rule out whether Snehana causes change in lipid levels or not. In this paper we have tried to gather the evidences from Ayurveda & modern research works as well.
