Abstract
The anti-ovulatory activity of decoction of butea monosperma (Linn.)kuntze and dacus carota (Linn)ver.sativa seeds were studied in rats.The decoctions were studied in rats.The decoctions were administered to animals orally for 28 days.The vaginal smears were examined daily for the number and duration of oestrous and de oestrous cycles.The oestrous phase was persistant and prolonged in both the treatment groups,thus revealing anti fertility potentional of these herbs.
