Abstract
A clinical study of 52 cases of allergic conjuctivitis, attending OPD of eye department, central research institute (Ay), New delhi was ocnducted to evaluate the effect of a potent anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic indigenous opthalmic drug - daruharidra (Beriberi aristata DC). Tropical administration (aschyothana) procedure was repeated for the same period at an interval of 7 days. Follow up was done for one month. The study revealed that the scheduled therapy is highly valuable in the management of allergic conjuctivities of varied aetiology.
